Who we are: - Life Fit Cornwall is a private business operating independently. Our clinic is based at Lady Basset Physiotherapy Centre, Church Road, TR15 3PT. Life Fit Cornwall is the ‘data controller’ for the information in this overview. This means we are responsible for deciding how we use your information.

The information we collect comes directly from you and will include:

Communication Data – Including communication that you send us via the contact form on our website, email, text, social media messaging, social media posting or any other form of communication you send us.

Customer data – This includes data relating to any purchase of goods and/or services e.g. your name, title, billing address, delivery address, email address, phone number, contact details, purchase details and payment details.

Marketing data - This includes data about your preferences in receiving marketing from us.

We will collect data that you directly provide us (for example filling in forms on our site, sending us emails, or information given in your client intake form). We process your communication data for purposes of communicating appointment reminders and provide information regarding your appointment, responding to communications from you, to communicate with you if we need to provide follow up information, information relevant to your treatment, or in relation to vital medical information.

Your personal and sensitive data is obtained in order to keep you safe in case of an emergency and to inform us of any risk factors which may be relevant to your treatment. We require this information to carry out treatments and to help provide the best possible service to you, for personalising and tailoring services to your needs.

Your email address will be used keep you informed of offers and Life Fit Cornwall news via Mailchimp if you have chosen to opt-in when completing your new client intake form, or subscribing via our website. You can unsubscribe to this at any time.

Where do we store your information

Life Fit Cornwall only stores your information digitally. All devices are password protected and have suitable security software installed.

Who we share your information with

We will not share your information with anybody outside of Life fit Cornwall, unless you have given explicit consent to do so (e.g. for the purposes for a referral to another practitioner).

How long do we keep your information

Massage and sports therapists have a professional and legal obligation to keep an accurate record of interaction with their patients. It is recommended that these records should be stored securely for up to 8 years after you cease being a patient of Life fit Cornwall. We only keep your data for as long as is needed to in order to use it as described above and/or for as long as we have your permission to keep it. We conduct an annual data review to ascertain whether we need to keep your data. Your data will be deleted if it is no longer required.

Updating and correcting your information

Social Media

If you interact with us through social media, we may receive information about you when you choose to post or otherwise share information about yourself.
